Nov. 16 Week in Review

This is an exciting week at Rockburn! We hope you can stop by for one or more of the following events. Volunteers are needed as well.

~American Education Week (Nov. 16-20): This is a great way to stop by and visit all the work your child has been doing. Stop by and see all the Family Tiles in a beautiful display near the Cafeteria.

~The International Holiday Shop is this Friday, Nov. 20 from 6:30pm-9pm, packets were sent home in last Friday’s folder. There will be two shifts to accommodate the crowd: Last name A-M please shop between the hours of 6:30-8:00pm,  N-Z please shop between 7:30-9pm. (Please come when its best for your family, but the split times will help the flow.)  See performances of the Nutcracker, and Bharatanatyam dancing.  Taste the international desserts, and shop the 20+ vendors.  Consider packing a box to donate to under-served children this year (details found at rockburnpta.org, latest news). We still need volunteers for the International Holiday Shop: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0c4ca4ac2ca0f85-14th

~The Book Fair will be Nov. 23 and 24 during Conferences, packets were sent home in last Friday’s folders.  We still need volunteers for our annual Book Fair:

~PTA Word of the Week is: GENUINE.  If your child wants to play along, remind them to SPOT the word somewhere around the school and during recess they will find a bin with all the supplies needed to enter the PTA monthly drawing. They will enjoy growing their vocabulary!”
